Out of bed and downstairs about 7am......had my Fr. Roast coffee.....and waited until the 1st Lady was downstairs around 9am (late for her). We made the decision to not square dance about 8....when I awakened her. Sooooo, we had breakfast, hot tea for her and more coffee for me. It wasn't long until we decided to run into Harlingen so that we could take her new bike into the shop for the 30 day check-up.
After dropping the bike off at the shop, we did some shopping at Walgreen's and CVS. Returning an hour later to get the bike, we then drove to the west end of the town to the shopping mall area. We made a couple of stops....and the 1st Lady did pick up some jewelry. Returning to the resort, we just sort of kicked back.....and, I took a nap....haha!!!!!
Later, we decided to grill a large ribeye steak that we had purchased at one of the local meat markets close by.......and as I was preparing the grill, Diane and Doug arrived back at their site with their motorhome. Not completely repaired, the fridge is working much better, but.......there are issues that must be resolved. We decided to eat together, so Doug and I grilled steaks while the girls prepared a salad and a potato casserole.
Dinner was lively and fun in TheHowserHouse with discussions from our trip to Harlingen to their night and today at Camping World's parking area. Traffic was really a factor for their sleeping overnight in the parking area.....as Expressway 83 is ALWAYS busy with tons of traffic!!! Soooo, I think they were a bit tired.....at least, Diane was tired!
After dinner we watched the Olympics.....and later during the evening I baked some brownies which had a touch of caramel added, along with a powdered sugar dusting, vanilla ice cream on top of the brownie.....and a couple of good dashes of Tia Maria on top of all of this. DELICIOUS!!!!!! Sure glad they didn't have any calories in them!!!!
And so......the day sped by just like all of the other days seem to do. WAAAAAYYYY tooooo fast as we must leave at the end of next week.....about 10 days left. DAMN!!!! But....we have plans for those days....and look forward to enjoying them to the fullest!!!
Without much in the way of creativity juices flowing this evening.....I will say, as usual.....
LIFE IS REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!!
