WOW, it was certainly difficult to get up on Saturday morning.....but, we were to leave at 9:15 for Tropic Star RV Park for the second session of the Jamboree. This is an annual event here in the RGV, using at least 5 callers from the area, and hundreds of square dance callers from across the country and Canada.
We again rode with Doug/Diane as their little car which they tow with their motorhome is much smaller than my huge truck, and with parking spaces limited, to squeeze into a small spot is almost impossible with my Ford F350, crew cab, long bed truck. Soooo, off we went yesterday morning....and when we got there the place was full once again!
We had a terrific dancing session......just such wonderful exercise and great fun. "Our Gang" all get along sooooo well and these dances just accent the positive aspects of our friendships......OMG, we have such incredible friends here that are all "Winter Texans" from the USA and Canada!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing in F'town can compare to this, even with the good friends that we have there.......this is somehow just different!!
We returned to the Resort about 12:45.....and after a lite lunch I collapsed on the couch for a couple of hours of a deep, solid nap!!!! The 1st Lady spent the afternoon at the pool about a 3 minute walk from our site here in the North Section of Llano Grande RV Resort. She had a great, relaxing time.....and I had a great, relaxing nap!!!!! And.........then, we went over to Doug/Diane's for a couple of drinks on their patio.
It was one of the most beautiful days we have had here in the RGV......and spending an hour or so on their patio under the palm trees, we had a great time just sitting there discussing the status of the world!
Off we went again at 6:45 for Tropic Star RV Park.....for the final dance of the Jamboree....and it was just great......almost 500 people there!!! Following the dance......the callers put on several little skits for our entertainment....and it was really enjoyable with many good lines which brought out huge laughter across the hall!!!
We returned here to TheHowserHouse after 11pm.....and we were both exhausted. Soooo, I am writing this on Sunday morning.......after a great rest last night.....and after a quick(??) trip to Walmart for some items for our Happy Hour/Super Bowl gathering later this afternoon.!!!
And sooooo, as always.........
LIFE IS JUST INCREDIBLY GREAT!!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!!
