A Relaxing day.........with wayyyyyy tooo much food!!!!

The day began cloudy and humid with the threats of rain.......but many of the Creekers met over at the Rally Barn for morning coffee and pastries. I made my own French Roast coffee with freshly ground coffee beans......enjoyed the great friendships that we have made since purchasing our Cedar Creek....and then returned to TheHowserHouse to prepare the RV for changing to a different site. Oh yeah........we are moving closer to "the action" of the Rally.....but even though it is only a move of about 150 feet, we still have to unhook the umbilical cords, put everything away, bring in the four slides, hook up, and then drive around two short streets to our new site,.......and then do everything we had just done in reverse! Hahaha......was it worth the efforts???? Oh yeah......if nothing else than I declared victory in the verbal battle with our assigned site.

As soon as we were re-settled, off we went to an RV sales place which had the largest rv parts store I have ever been in.......and so I picked up a few items which I "needed". We went with friends in the Cedar Creek RV Owners Club.....and so we all had a good time finding items that we just had to have......haha.

Lunch today was a brown bag meal.......and so, if you saw the picture of my meal last night....I finished off the pork tenderloin sandwich that I couldn't begin to eat last night. During the afternoon, more of our members arrived with their Cedar Creeks....and even though we had all been together in Wisconsin the first week of June, it is really great to get together again.

We have members here from Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.........what a fantastic group.......and everything we do or say is just a barrel of laughs. Tomorrow we will see four more rigs pull in and then we will all have arrived for the weekend.... A few are leaving from here and headed to Albuquerque, NM for the Balloon Fiesta which we had planned to do, but after deciding to make the journey to Egypt and Jordan we canceled our New Mexico trip plans.

This evening we had fried chicken and trimmings for everyone.....and then as it got darker, we started our campfire and everyone enjoyed the stories of the Alaska group of Creekers who were gone for three months on their big adventure to the northland. Discussions mostly centered around everyone's trips and travels and the adventures they experience as they wander the roads of our country and Canada.

Tomorrow.......well, who knows?????? Some want to go see the Precious Memories Chapel and store......as this is the area where they little figurines have been made. I'm certain.....without a doubt.....that the day will bring once again.....waaaaaayyyyyyy tooooooo much food. WOW....we sure do know how to have some great meals.

No one who has not experienced this type of event......this type of traveling.....this type of living.......of being in an RV for a lengthy time going down the highways...........no one can understand the freedom and the absolutely incredible friends that are made this way! I'm certain that some of you who have not had these experiences have no clue as to the great times which develop while out and about in an RV.....in our case a CEDAR CREEK RV!!! Most of us have been doing this type of traveling all of our lives........and wouldn't change it for anything. Our friends Paul and Suzanne are in their third Cedar Creek......and love every minute of it. The 1st Lady and I are, as I write, sitting here in our living room, kicked back, with HUGE windows all around us enjoying not only the bright moonlight streaming in our windows, but also with our tellie on for a bit of conventional entertainment.

We are all looking forward to our National Rally in Indiana next June, followed the next week by the Canadian National Rally in Niagara Falls. Many of us are also going to winter either in Florida or Texas or Arizona.......and will try to get together during the winter season if we are close by to any other Creekers.

And sooooo, another day of fun and food........which assures everyone that.....

LIFE IS GREAT!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!
