On a day like today, at a place like this, with friends like these…….it is GREAT to be alive!! It has been a wonderful day…….seems the adjectives just cannot describe a day like today. The weather, while somewhat cloudy from time to time, was just right……..a jacket needed when the sun disappeared, but not needed when the sun was shining. The morning was lazy……coffee outside enjoying the view of the tops of the snow covered mountains, casual walks around the RV resort, and visits with others who are in the park for the summer who are friends with Mac/Gail.
Later this afternoon we drove north to Alpine, WY……had a late afternoon lunch/dinner/meal at a Mexican restaurant. Then crossed over to Idaho by going around a lake and drove for 7 miles up this National Forest road to a campground……..seeing some great scenery……AND…..the 1st Lady started yelling as I drove slowly thru the forest and there not too far from us was a “momma” moose with her little calf. The diesel sound quickly made them turn and disappear into the forest, but it was really a cool experience to see them!! Some of the view of the mts. across the lake were so great with the sun shining on the snow. I will try to include a few of them in this post….
I say try…….we are in such a valley and with very, very little cell phone service that these posts oftentimes get lost as the connection is broken. Last night I attempted three times to get my entire post published and lost it each time, except the opening. SORRY!! Today I had to assist one of Mac/Gail’s friends who could not get hooked up to the net thru her cell phone……..isn’t THAT something…….ME!!!! Mr. Aging Old Man who has no technology expertise…….in fact I know nothing about this kind of stuff, but……guess what!! I got her laptop and her cell phone and the software all coordinated and it worked!!! Wow…….should I sell my services????? (computer services, of course!!)
Tomorrow we plan to run up to Jackson Hole and explore the town and surrounding area. Hope the weather is ok…….it has been sooooo rainy out here. The streams that we would normally be fishing in are sooooo muddy and swollen that trout fishing is out of the question……..DAMN IT!!!! And, tomorrow is Wyoming FREE fishing day…..no license required. Any fishing license longer than five days as an out-of-state license is around $83.00!!!!! I had better catch some trout!!!!!!!!!
The pics that I will try to get into tonight’s post are those of this afternoon. SORRY but the moose and calf were tooooo fast for me to get a pic of them. Maybe sometime later…..???
Sooo……..until later…..
