OK....this damn wifi is slow, slow, slow, Anne-marie....but will try to get this posted.......
Yesterday, Saturday morning, just flew by!!!!! Went over to the Malaga Inn and visited with some of those being house there, drank some coffee, visited the Hospitality Room for a drink.....and then it was time to return to the Holiday Inn where we were staying.....and to get ready to take the charter bus out to the Spring Hill area where we were to have a sit-down lunch. OK..........
Everyone boarded the bus but for a few of us who decided to drive, follow the bus, and then we could come back for hair appointments, make-up appts., etc., ,etc. WELL...........the home was gorgeous in it's stately and timeless way.....filled with beautiful antiques from the carpets to the exquisite china on the top shelves of the cabinets........and, as we entered we were greeted by the many wonderful ladies who were hosting this very wonderful and gracious event.
Entering and then going down the long hallway to the back veranda.......where there was seating, beautiful floral arrangements, and a bar was set up serving Mimosas and Bloody Mary's.....and those well-mixed drinks were being poured with finesse and flourish......what a fabulous way to be greeted!!!!!! We wandered through the garden which had not had the time to bloom as the cold snaps have continued and very few flowers are in bloom down here.
My sister and her husband, my niece and her husband and her daughter had arrived late on Friday night, so it gave us a chance to have a few drinks and to visit while the lunch was being finished. Such a wonderful, beautiful, warm day........sooooo springlike!!!
With lots of introductions being made for the 1st Lady and myself..........the same things were being said as had been said for the previous two days......only with different phrases and descriptions: everyone........absolutely everyone spoke in such glowing phrases and terms about their love and respect for Jay........how much everyone liked him and how excited they were to have him join their LARGE families!!!!! It became THE point of discussion with whomever we were introduced to.........and it was all sooooo nice to hear. I am sure this will embarrass him, but it was really quite wonderful to hear how the members of his new family felt about him!!!!!!!
WIFI problems........I had better close this and post more tomorrow....wifi is coming and going here. I also have WAAAYYYYY over 100 pictures from yesterday........how will I ever decided which ones to post??????
