Yesterday morning...Sunday....was a rather laid-back morning. The two older girls got into the pool early...and then we put them into a bedroom to spend a couple of hours or more doing their studies.....of which they must turn in to their teachers when they return to school next week.
We then had lunch....and headed off to Disney's Hollywood Studios part of the DW. Much less in the way of crowds there....thank God.....and so it was easier to walk around without the "endurance competition" which we felt in the Magic Kingdom on Saturday!!! This section does not have as many "joy" rides....a roller coaster and the Tower of Terror seem to be about the main two....with others just being show type entertainment. We did go see "The Beauty and the Beast"....and it was really enjoyable in it's abbreviated form.....lots of great vocals and dancing, as well as the incredible costumes. We all enjoyed it, including Max....who never took his two-year-old eyes off the stage!
The Tower of Terror was a great ride.....as it always has been. Meghan went for the first time and she was a bit terrorized with the zero-gravity drops, but she was really ready to go again after she got off! We wandered around, dropping in to various little market stalls and shops. The 1st Lady and I took the Back Lot tour ride....and really did enjoy it! We had done that out in California at Universal Studios and it was great fun then. This is somewhat moderated from that one, but entertaining and informative....and we enjoyed it!
Supper was at a hamburger type outdoor area.....easier to feed Max there, as he is not the best at sitting down in restaurants. Then we made the decision to try to see the Fantasmic show.....but, couldn't get in until the 9pm show. Dr Jeni and Darrel along with Max and Ava decided to return to the house, as both of them were becoming exhausted and would not have been able to sit through this show....we thought.
Rachel, Meghan, the 1st Lady, and myself then got into the quickly-lengthening line about 7:45pm.....and stood and stood, until the line began to move about 8:30pm. WOW......when we did get inside the performance area......and outdoor "stadium" type of seating on one side of a man-made lagoon which surround this man-made island, we were amazed at how many thousands were being seated....and how many more thousands of seats were available to use.....WOW!!!!
The show was quite unique with it's use of water spray for the screen to blur the pictures and actions, as well as the water works in the lagoon which we are controlled by Mickey Mouse and the story line coming from the island. I certainly recommend seeing this, if you have not experienced this show before......WELL WORTH the wait in line, as there are plenty of seats for everyone!!!!!
We then returned to the house, arriving about 10:30pm.....only a short distance from DW, but plenty of out-going traffic to slow things down. I was not able to take any pictures of the show as we were sooooo close to the lagoon that everytime the spray screen was used, the water droplets reached us and I had to just keep my camera under wraps, literally.....using my shirt to keep it from get moist/wet! But....the memories are there.........without the pics.
And sooooo, another day here in central Florida passed.......and, as always.....
LIFE IS JUST REALLY, REALLY AMAZINGLY GREAT!!!!!!......And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!!
