Yep.....I knew it would be late on Friday night before they arrived.......always has been, always will be!!! Soooo, it was at least 11pm before they pulled into the driveway......and then came their task of unloading their Suburban and I decided not to assist as I am still not supposed to have much weight in my hands/arms. Soooo, after a brief conversation with them.....we all went to bed!
Yesterday morning........I really slept "in"......until 7:45AM......HIGHLY unusual for me and I felt like I had been given some dull drug all day because of that. Just not my cup of tea...or, Fr. Roast coffee......to sleep that long...UGH!!!
Our day progressed normally......wellll, normally for having the three little ones here all day long. They were very good, but they were very normal for their ages. Each one is growing, changing, and being "their age".......Meghan is becoming interested in boys(this happens earlier with each new generation), Ava....well, Ava is Ava.....sweet, quiet, and sooooo helpful. One never knows she is around....just slips around doing her own thing, playing her own creative play, and always with that winsome smile!! Max.......all boy as he is turning 2 years old this week. Understands everything we say, but is just a bit behind on being able to converse....however, some words are quite distinct and he certainly lets you know what he wants, by all means!!!!
Darrel and Dr. Jeni and Meghan left about 5pm or so, as he was racing up at Pevely, and they didn't return until about 2AM this morning. The 1st Lady and I kept the little two....and had a great evening with them.......they were just great with no troubles whatsoever!!!!!
This morning......we scurried around as Darrel and Dr. Jeni's friends from here in F'town were coming over for the birthday "party" for Max about 11:30, as well as Becky coming up from Cape G. and Darrel's parents were in town from Branson and they checked out of their motel and came over. Soooooo, the house was rockin' by that time. I had to made a run to Walmart to pick up some deli meats....I made a potato salad and sliced some fresh grown tomatoes.....and after the cake for Max and the rest of the kids......we then served a lunch buffet for everyone. Quite good and an easy and relaxed way to entertain so many including the little ones!!!!!
We spent some time looking at pictures from the HowserMusicFest as well as discussing that weekend and all of us who were there are still feeling the afterglow from it......it was such an incredible event/weekend!!!!
The guests slowly left during the afternoon......and then Dr. Jeni and Darrel and three left about 6:30 this evening. It was a fun-filled weekend........with such a relaxed feel to the entire two days!!!! GREAT TIMES!!!!!!
And, as always.......
LIFE IS JUST WONDERFULLY GREAT!!!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!!!
