I had barely raised my sagging hulk out of the bed and started my Fr. Roast coffee dripping and I heard the roofing crew up on the roof, walking across from side to side, and lifting and dropping the 80 lb squares of new shingles. And.....these sounds of work on the roof never ceased until after 6pm this evening. Did they finish.....nope....not quite. There is still a small section to be shingled...and then the task of making the guttering and attaching it to the house. Some repair on the chimney is still yet to be completed.....and then a few details and they should be through. Tomorrow??? Well, I am not sure how much longer it will take them........???
However, we are leaving on Thursday morning, and with that in mind, we spent the entire day making certain we had the items we need for the trip we are taking. With the changing climates and temps, we are now finding it necessary to put in some fall clothes with sweat shirts, jackets, and jeans. As I carried my things for cooler weather out to the trailer....I kept thinking to myself: WHY?????? The sweat was dripping off of every extended part of my body....and my clothes were soaked.....and I was carrying sweatshirts???!!!
Most of the day was spent in just checking to make certain that we had everything.....and, of course.......there WILL be something that we will need that we did not load....happens every time!
We are without tv tonight.....not a real problem, but when they were putting on the shingles for the section of the house that had the dish attached, they had to remove it. Soooo, our contractor thought he could just put it back into the same holes, but......and I felt certain it would be this way.....no signal was ever found for a picture. Soooo, I will just have to call DirecTV a week before we return and set up an appt. for them to come out and make the necessary adjustments so we can receive a picture soon after we arrive back.
Talked with Jeremy and Anne-marie this evening. They flew down from Hartford to Mobile to begin the plans for the wedding (Mar 6th) and are there this week doing the things that are necessary to get "the show on the road". And, with the wedding to be a LARGE wedding, there are many, many, many decisions to be made....
Soooo, another day going by so quickly has shortened my Life by 24 hours.......hmmmm, don't you wonder just how many times this can happen???? But, as I always say.....Life is too short to stay in one place.......so, we will be on the road heading westward in less than 36 hours. And...as always.......
LIFE IS JUST REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!!!....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!
