SATURDAY: BEAUTIFUL ESTES PARK!!!

Ahhh....we were both awake this morning EARLY.....our aging, sagging bodies not being able to adjust quickly to the time change of the clock......and our body clocks not working in sync!!! Sooo, we got the things loaded into the truck that we would need for the coming week in Estes Park, and we were on the road a bit after 7am. An hour and a half later, we were at the RV Park in Loveland where we stored TheHowserHouse for the week. It looked a bit forlorn as we drove away, however, it was parked right beside a family member....another Cedar Creek 5th wheel!!!!

Up the Big Thompson Canyon for almost 30 miles of beautiful twisting and turning.... deep down inside the canyon, following the river all the way up to the bowl in the midst of very tall mountains where Estes Park is located. Deep blue sky, big white clouds, 69 degree weather with NO....repeat, NO humidity and many, many tourists throughout the town. The mountains, with snow on some of them, surround the town....and no matter where you look they are always in the background.....love it!!!

After getting settled in at her brother/wife's condo, we decided to go for some lunch, not wanting to cook on such a beautiful day up here. We settled for a great little place over looking a small pond in Estes Park....and watched the ducks flying in and out as we ate beside the huge windows with the mts. in the background. Lunch was good......and the service was great from a lovely young lady who is summering here from Bulgaria.....charming personality!!!!

Then....off to town we went to enjoy walking along the shops and cafes and rock shops and jewelry shops and lots of candy shops!!! We remained there through a couple of light showers...which were each followed by bright sunshine and blue skies once again.

Returning to the condo, we noticed that there were vehicles all over the highway, on the sides of the road, etc.....and then we saw the elk munching the weeds and grasses along the condo....and then crossing the road to the other side.......isn't the grass always greener on the other side?????

Not afraid of any noises, they munched along, with the huge antlered buck remaining behind in our yard for a bit of time before slowly walking between the stopped vehicles, looking at everyone as he ambled through.....with not a care in the world. He is DEFINITELY used to the traffic stopping for him, as well as the hords of us tourists snapping photos of him......proud guy, he is!!!!

This evening, we decided to just have some munchies....and a bit of that lovely dark red medicine, as we sat in front of a very warming and cheery fireplace. Temps are dropping down to 40 degrees tonight with showers off and on during the day, along with sunshine again tomorrow. A great day looks to be in store for all of us from Misery.

And soooo.....as a wonderful day comes to a warm and cheery ending.......as always.....

LIFE IS JUST INCREDIBLY GREAT.....REALLY!!!!!!!......And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!
