After leaving the Panera Bread this morning........I went up to Vienna, VA....and met my cousin from Tampa, Lynn, for lunch. We selected a Greek restaurant and it has such an extensive menus that we had difficulty making a decision......but, we finally each decided on the soup/salad and sandwich. A good choice..........nothing special, but the Greek salad I had was quite good. The portions were large.....and way toooooo much for a light lunch.
A quick visit to Sonya's home and some conversation with her sons and grandchildren....and then we were all off to the church where the services were being held. Upon arriving, another cousin of mine from Harrisonburg, VA....and my elderly uncle(her father) had also arrived. This cousin, GAYLE, also had her two daughters with her who live in the Boston, MA area and it was really great to see all of them again!!!!!! No matter what the circumstances, we always find ourselves laughing and having a great time.
The funeral services were really well planned, the music was incredible with the vocal soloist being from the U.S. Army Choir!!!! After the trip to the cemetery, we returned to the church for a reception. We spent a bit of time visiting with everyone.....and then I made my departure.
Left Vienna at 4:30.....and I am now in the Days Inn in Huntington, West Virginia........drove about 400+ miles and it is almost midnight, Eastern time. Sooooo........my body is screaming at me......"LAY ME DOWN!!!!"....and.....I will!
LIFE IS GREAT!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!
